We are now pleased to introduce our new range of Melton Wools Fabric that is suitable for Upholstery uses.

Our Melton Wools Range is available in a wide range of colours and is made up from 100% Pure Wool.

As a fire retardant material, pure wool meets Crib 5; giving the fabric the highest standard of fire safety and giving us further accreditation for contract end uses.

The Fabric is also available by the meter to make any complimentary products to your luxury bed headboard including stools, ottomans etc

There are many similar products on the market that look very similar to our Melton Wools, However these fabrics comprise of Wool and man made fibres such as Nylon. Man made fibres such as Nylon are cheaper than wool, and are also used because their strength allows for inferior Wool to be used in the blend.

The biggest problem with man made fibres in comparison to Pure Wool is that they are prone to pilling. Pilling occurs when abrasion from normal wear causes groups of broken fibres on the surface of the fabric to become tangled together in a tiny ball. These pills detract from the appearance of the fabric, making it look old and worn.
